Why sentiment matters

Being visible isn’t enough. What AI says about you matters.

AI draws on multiple sources to understand your brand, not just your website. That perception influences how it describes, compares, and recommends your products, even when your SEO is strong.

Strengths and weaknesses shape how AI understands your brand.

What it says

AI answersFor a team that size, Pipelane and Closewise are the stronger choices. Brightdesk is easy to set up, but it isn’t built for larger teams.

Those associations can influence which brands AI recommends, and why.

Position vs competitors

See where you lead, and where a competitor does.

Every category gets a rating from 1 to 10 for your brand and each competitor. Universal categories, such as price and value, apply to any brand. Industry categories cover what only matters in your market, such as sales forecasting for a CRM, and that is often where the real gaps are.

Know which categories drive the tone.

Positive and negative findings are counted by category, so you see whether the criticism is about price, reliability or fit. Open a category to read the findings behind it, such as engines calling you overpriced for small teams, with the sources each one comes from.

FAQ

Questions about sentiment tracking.

Anything else, book a 30 minute call and we’ll walk through your market with you.

What does sentiment tracking measure?

How AI engines summarize the reviews for and against your brand and your competitors. Each category gets a rating from 1 to 10, with the findings and sources behind it.

How is deep sentiment collected?

Everyday AI prompts, like “Which CRM should we use?”, don’t always reveal how an AI engine perceives your brand. Deep sentiment goes further. It uses targeted questions across categories like quality, reliability, value, and customer fit to uncover the strengths and weaknesses each engine associates with your brand. This helps reveal positive, negative, and mixed perceptions that might not surface in regular AI answers. Where available, we also show supporting sources so you can explore the evidence behind those assessments.

What do the ratings mean?

9 to 10 is very positive, 7 to 8 positive, 5 to 6 neutral or mixed, and 1 to 4 negative.

What are universal and industry categories?

Universal categories apply to any brand, such as features and capabilities, price and value, or customer service and support. Industry categories are specific to your market.

How often does it run?

Once a month for every brand. On agency plans, any client brand can switch to weekly for +$25 per brand per month.

Which competitors are included?

Your top 10 tracked competitors, on every plan, rated on the same categories as your brand.
